Structure and type of belt conveyor roller
The drum set is an important part of the belt conveyor. According to the action drum in the conveyor, the drum can be divided into two categories: the drive roller and the reversing roller. The function of the drive roller is to transmit the torque provided by the drive to the conveyor. The redirecting drum includes a guide roller for reversing the conveyor belt at the end of the conveyor, a steering drum for increasing the wrap angle of the drive drum, a tension roller and a guide roller for the tensioning device. The drum set is composed of a drum shaft, a bearing housing, a hub, a web, and a casing portion. Some rollers also have a connector for the hub and the drum shaft, a hub for the hub and the web. Typically, the surface of the drive drum is covered with rubber or ceramic to increase the coefficient of friction between the drive roller and the conveyor belt.
Roller bearings generally use spherical spherical roller bearings.
1 drive mode
A external drive type, that is, the drive device is placed outside the drive roller, and the reducer is directly connected to the input shaft of the drive roller.
B Driven inside, that is, the drive unit is all placed in the drive drum. This method is also called electric drum. If only the gear unit is installed in the cylinder, it is called a gear roller, or an external gear roller, suitable for high-power belt conveyors.
2 bearing bore size and load
A Lightweight aperture is 50~100MM. The structure of the light roller is that the shaft and the hub adopt an interference fit, and the web is fully welded with the sleeve, wherein the structure of the hub and the shaft interference connection is used for the drive roller.
B Medium diameter is 120~180MM. The structure of the medium-sized drum is that the shaft and the hub are connected by an annular locker, and the web and the shell are all welded.
C Heavy duty aperture is 200~220MM. The structure of the heavy-duty roller is that the hub and the shaft are connected by an annular locker, and the cast-welded web is casted with the casing. The drum of this structure is a part of the casing, the web, the integrated chassis of the hub and the other part of the casing are welded.
D Engineering grade drums Engineering grade drums are specially designed drums to meet the load conditions of special conveyor rollers. Due to their high strength and low elongation, the high tension conveyor belts make the standard of these rollers much higher than the steel drums used in general fiber fabric core conveyor belts. Starting, braking and other dynamic loads are transmitted directly to the drum. When high tension is involved, the concentricity of the drum and the accurate alignment of the drum and conveyor are important. It is particularly emphasized that the structural support of the drum must be accurately centered to prevent load concentration and overload of the drum due to misalignment.
A Drum drum is welded by steel plate round and round, and the middle part is larger than the diameter of the two sides by a few millimeters. The purpose is to prevent the conveyor belt from running off.
B Vane Roller The drum consists of a number of transverse blades designed to facilitate the cleaning of the conveyor belt. These rollers are also known as self-cleaning rollers. If the blade is changed to a round bar, it is called a bar roller. Naturally, the cylindrical steel shell can also be opened with a horizontal groove, and can also function as a self-cleaning. Such rollers are called grid rollers.
C The groove of the grooved rubber roller has a rhombus, a herringbone, a straight line, a ring, and a trapezoidal groove, which are respectively called a diamond-shaped face, a herringbone face, and the like, and the purpose is to increase Friction coefficient and easy to discharge adhesive material. The drive roller cover is often made of diamond and herringbone.
4 work function
A Vacuum drum In order to increase the friction between the conveyor belt and the drum, a vacuum pump or an external vacuum pump is installed on the drum to make a vacuum between the conveyor belt and the drum wrap angle to increase the friction. However, due to the complicated structure, vacuum drums have not been promoted.
B Magnetic roller The drum is equipped with a magnet. For example, the lower layer of the conveyor belt is a magnetic cover rubber. According to the attraction of the opposite sex, the friction can be increased. When a conventional conveyor belt is used, the magnetic roller becomes a de-ironing drum.
C Tire Roller The outside of the drum is made of many ceramic sheets, which on the one hand increases the friction and on the other hand facilitates cleaning. The ceramic piece can also be made into a plug-in type for easy replacement.
The main advantage of the drum rubber is that the surface friction coefficient is large, and the rubber is cold-bonded or vulcanized on the surface of the smooth steel drum. The rubberized roller can be further divided into: a light bread rubber roller, a herringbone grooved rubber roller and a diamond-shaped rubberized roller according to the surface shape thereof.
