Why do rubber belts use core glue, but not more layers of glue?

Many people have asked me why rubber conveyor belts must use core rubber. I use glue not the same. What difference do they have? Today, Ming Ming introduced the difference between glue and core glue.

The glue is a gel having a certain viscosity formed by dissolving the core glue in a solvent. After the solvent is completely volatilized, the composition is exactly the same as that of the core rubber. However, the commonly used glue is prepared by using a core rubber and a solvent (such as toluene, xylene, solvent gasoline, etc.) in a ratio of 1:5-1:6. .

The core rubber is a film which is calendered by a calender, and its molecular arrangement order is oriented, and it is anisotropic from a mechanical point of view, so the tensile property and the fatigue resistance along the rolling direction are better.

The arrangement of the rubber molecules in the solvent is random and isotropic. The role of the glue is to make the rubber dissolved in the solvent fully enter the cloth by the good fluidity and permeability of the solvent, so that the rubber can be better combined with the fabric.
