1. According to the degree of mechanization: manual assembly line, mechanized assembly line and automatic line

2, according to the product rotation method: variable pipeline, group assembly line and hybrid assembly line

Variable Pipeline: Focus on the production of several objects fixed on the assembly line. When the batch manufacturing task of a certain product is completed, adjust the equipment and process equipment accordingly, and then start the production of another product.


Grouped lines: Several products fixed on the assembly line are not produced in batches, but are produced simultaneously or sequentially within a certain period of time. There is basically no need to re-adjust equipment and process equipment when changing varieties.

Mixing line: It is to produce multiple varieties at the same time on the assembly line, and the varieties are uniformly mixed and sent, and the inter-phase production is carried out. It is generally used for production in the assembly stage.

3. According to the number of production objects: single-variety assembly line and multi-variety assembly line

Single-variety line: Also known as the constant line, it means that only one product is fixedly produced on the line. The number of articles required is large enough to ensure adequate loading of equipment on the assembly line.


Multi-variety assembly line: Two or more products with similar structure and process are uniformly organized into one assembly line for production.

4, according to the degree of continuity: continuous pipeline and intermittent pipeline

Continuous Pipeline: There is no waiting and interruption time for the continuous flow of products from input to output.

Intermittent assembly line: Since the labor of each process is not equal or not integral, the production object will wait for the process to stop, and the production process is not completely continuous.


5. According to the moving mode of the production object: fixed flow line and moving line

Fixed line: It means that the production object is fixed in position, and the production worker carries the tool to move along the production objects arranged in order. Mainly used for the production of large-scale products that are inconvenient to transport, such as the assembly of heavy machinery, aircraft, ships, etc.

Mobile Pipeline: A production line where production objects move, workers and equipment and tools are fixed. This is how the common pipeline is organized.

6, according to the degree of rhythm: forced beat line, free beat line and rough beat line


Forced Beat Pipeline: Requires accurate production of the product by beat.

Free beat line: It is not strictly required to produce products by beat, but the productivity of the work place at the specified time interval should meet the beat requirements.

Rough beat line: The processing time of each process is very different from the beat. In order to make full use of manpower and material resources, only the production line is required to produce the same amount of products every reasonable interval, and each process is not produced according to the beat. .
